We sell shares to our herd for those who wish to have fresh goat's milk. It is illegal in the State of Alaska to sell raw milk for human consumtion. However is legal to consume milk from your own goat herd. A share in our herd will provide the ability for you to obtain fresh milk. Please call us if you have any questions.

Whisper Ridge Farm Goat Herd Share
Contract

I,_________________________________________(Buyer), wish to buy _________ share(s) in the Whisper Ridge Farm dairy goat herd. Each share is twenty five dollars ($25), for a total of $________________. This is a one time herd share purchase for this seasons’ lactation and is not refundable.
It is agreed and understood by the Buyer that Buyer’s interest in the Herd is a limited interest shared by with others of co-ownership in the Herd and that the interest purchased by the Buyer does not convey or vest the Buyer sole ownership of the Herd of any particular Goat in the Herd. It is further agreed and understood that the specific Goats in the Herd may change over time as Goats die or as Seller adds to or deletes from the Herd in her sole and absolute discretion; however, Seller shall not be obligated to add to the Herd to replace a Goat that dies, but may do so at Seller’s discretion.
The owner of the share acknowledges that it becomes the responsibility as a herd owner to pay Whisper Ridge Farm a Herdsman Fee of $ 25 per share per month. This fee will cover all feed and care cost as well as any vet bills incurred, and all milking and labor cost. This fee is due at the beginning of the month or at the earliest day of the month the Buyer will be picking up their share of milk.
The Buyer of the share/s understands that as a cash out of the share/s they will receive as produce from their herd:
__1_ Gallon/s of whole goat milk per week per share. The Buyer shall be entitled to receive on a weekly basis their share of goat milk produced by the Herd so long as the Buyer is not delinquent in Buyer’s payment of the monthly Herdsman Fee.
Owner wishes to pick up their milk on _______________ (Day of the week)
Owner further agrees to provide two sets of containers for their milk, so that an extra set can be left at the dairy to be filled and ready for pickup. The owner understands that it is their responsibility to return the containers to the dairy in a clean and sanitary manner. Whisper Ridge Farm does not wash containers.
Owners understands that each goat will be in lactation for 6-10 months with a further two to three months dry for gestation, kidding, and rearing of kids.
