Maggie the pups mom play fighting with the pups. While she has such a fierce look, she was making no sounds. she just wrestled the pups, who wrestled back.

Our newest standard poodle litter arrived May 11th, 2013. The sire is CH Christopher Cournelius Marshall (Blue) and the dam is CH Whisper Ridge Call Me Madeline RN CGC (Black). We have three puppies total, two males and one female. At this time all puppies are spoken for.

The puppies are now 2 weeks old. Their eyes started opening up this past weekend. Today I noticed them playing for the first time. All the puppies are toddling about. They have all completed their BioSensor exercises. Later this week the litter will move from our master bedroom closet to a pen in our dining/living area. They have been cuddled by us, grandchildren, and family visitors. This coming week they will be introduced to the rest of the family dogs.

We moved the pups from the seclusion of our master bedroom closet to the open area in our living/dining room. Now they will be in the center of activity in our home. As soon as I moved them, our mini dachshund, Kona, tried to lay claim to them. She jumped in the puppy box with them and would not allow the puppies mother in the box! Kona felt she had waited long enough for "her" puppies! :) Kona is now banned from the puppy box but will be allowed to frolic and play with the puppies soon.
Later this week puppies will be introduced to solid foods. That's always a mess and good for a few photos!
I shaved puppy faces for the first time today. There are some cute faces under that hair!
